PayPal Quick Start
What you’ll need:
1. Business EIN
2. Business Information
PayPal Business Account Setup
1. Visit https://www.paypal.com and click “Sign up.”
2. On the account selection screen, click the box for “Business Account,” then click “Next.”
3. Enter your primary organization’s email address and click “Continue.”
4. Choose and enter a password. Click “Continue.”
5. Enter your business information including your legal first and last name, the name of your business, as well as your business address.
6. Follow PayPal steps to verify email.
Create PayPal Live App
1. Visit https://developer.paypal.com/developer/accounts/ and sign in with your Business Account information
2. Click the “Live” toggle button and then click “Create App“
3. Type in AllStar Fundraiser as the name of the Live App.
4. Verify that the App type is “Merchant.” (This is a pre-August 2021 setup step.)
PayPal Client ID
1. Copy the entire Client ID by selecting the text and clicking “command-c” on a Mac or “control-c” on a Windows.
2. In the admin panel on AllStar Fundraiser, paste the Client ID into the corresponding space during fundraiser setup and save.
API Webhook
1. Before navigating away from the screen, scroll to the bottom of the live app page to the API webhook section and click “add new webhook.” (If you have already left the page, you can find your current apps listed under the My Apps & Credentials>Live page).
2. In the Live App webhook window, paste or type api.asfun.io/paypal into the text box. Then check the box that says “All events.”
3. Scroll to the bottom and click “Save.”
